Welcome to GlobalKorban.com. Our organisation, A2A Trading Pte Ltd, is based in Singapore.  We are working closely with an international organisation, Al-Imdaad Foundation and Islamic Worldwide Relief for the Korban exercise in 2012 [click for Letter of Appointment].  The Al Imdaad Foundation is registered with the  United Nations for Non-Governmental Organizations. The NGO Branch is the focal point within the United Nations for Non-Governmental Organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Islamic Relief (IR) is and international relief and development charity which envisages a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others empowering them to fulfil their potential. IR is an independent Non-Governmental(NGO) founded in the UK in 1984.

A2A Trading Pte Ltd is focused on serving the Singapore and international community in their ibadah or worship in relation to the performance of animal sacrifice or korban (udhiyah). We are in cooperation with Al-Imdaad Foundation to conduct the animal sacrifice in various parts of the world. Al-Imdaad has 5 international offices, and operates in 36 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, to help the poor overcome the suffering endured due to natural disasters and lack of life’s basic necessities.

For the first time in Singapore, the Muslim community will be able to get their korban meat directly from Australia. This is a maiden Korban project by A2A Trading Pte Ltd and is under the supervision of Islamic World Relief In Australia.

The Korban animals, the sheep will be slaughtered in a fully halal abattoir in Australia on the day of Eid, and the carcasses weighing around 16-18kg each will be cleaned, cut, chilled and packed in boxes and airflown directly to Singapore. The whole process of selection of sheep, slaughtering, cleaning, packing and shipping will be supervised by IR [click for Letter of Appointment].

“After performing the Korban rites on Eid, which falls on Friday, 26 October 2012, the Korban meat will be flown in to Singapore on Saturday night via a chartered flight.  Korban participants will then be able to collect their meat on Sunday morning, 28 October 2012,” explained Adlee Nazree, Managing Director of A2A Trading Pte Ltd. 

Insha’Allah, when you order animals through us for korban or sacrifice, we will channel the order and the sacrificed meat to areas where it is most needed. This year insha’Allah the korban meat will be distributed to crisis-hit countries like Somalia, Malawi, Kenya, Zambia and in the poor regions of India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

In Somalia alone, tens of thousands have fled their homes, walked for weeks in search of food, and many young children have died along the way. About 50 per cent of the Somali children are acutely malnourished. This is one of the worst humanitarian crisis in decades.
